The Status and structure

Status and general, legal, organizational and other principles of the Ukrainian Part of the Joint Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council (UCBC) determined by the Regulation of the 9-th December 2010 (with amended on the July 28th, 2015), approved by the General Meeting.

Co-founders of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council are the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) and the Association of Ukrainian-Chinese Cooperation (AUCC). The Ukrainian Part of the UCBC is advisory and consultative body of the UCCI without status of legal entity. Legal entities, enterprises which are registered and operate under the law in Ukraine,can be the members of the Ukrainian Part of the UCBC voluntarily.

The supreme governing body of the Ukrainian Part of the UCBC is General Meeting of its members. The competence of the General Meeting includes: resolving of the strategic issues of Ukrainian Part of the UCBC; adoption of the Regulations and amendments to them; election of leadership (head and deputies); determining the numerical strength and personal composition of the Coordinating Committee.

Governing and coordinating collective body of the Ukrainian part of the UCBC is Coordinating Committee which consists of not more than 25 members(now – 16). Its competence includes: approval of main directions and work plans of the Ukrainian part of the UCBC, insurance of their implementation; approval of the programs, projects and activities implemented within or under the auspices of the Ukrainian Part of the UCBC; adoption  and exclusion of members; the creation and elimination of temporary and subsidiary bodies (working groups, commissions); determination of goals of the Secretariat of Ukrainian Part of the UCBC and its personal composition.

The Ukrainian Part of the UCBC and its Coordinating Committee are headed by the chairman and his two deputies. The Head of the Ukrainian Part of the UCBC is co-Chairman of the Joint Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council. The Head has the current leadership of the Ukrainian Part of the UCBC and Coordinating Committee and organizes the implementation of their goals and objectives, officially presents it to the Chinese Part, as well as third parties in Ukraine and abroad. The deputies of the Head of the Ukrainian Part of the UCBC perform their functions according to the division of responsibilities, replace the Head in his absence, assist in the execution of authority.

The Head of the Ukrainian part of the UCBC, his deputies and members of the Coordinating Committee are elected by the General Meeting for a term of three years.

The Secretariat of the Ukrainian Part of the UBC, technical executive body, is created in order to provide practical activities and resolve current organizational issues.

The financial support of the Ukrainian Part of the UCBC is carried out by voluntary sponsorship contributions, voluntary charity, grants and donations from the UCBC’s members and other business entities.
