The leadership and members of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council are deeply saddened by the untimely death of Ambassador Serhiy Kamyshev

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in China, on February 14, at the age of 64, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the People's Republic of China Serhiy Kamyshev passed away.

"Serhiy Kamyshev started working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the first years after Ukraine's independence and devoted more than two decades of his life to work in the diplomatic field. He personally made significant efforts to develop relations with Asia and the Middle East, twice in 2004-2009 and 2019. In 2021 he headed the Embassy of Ukraine in China.

By his example of professionalism, Serhiy Kamyshev has inspired many generations of Ukrainian diplomats who, having adopted his experience and knowledge, now work in responsible positions, both in the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased in connection with this irreparable loss.

The bright memory of Serhiy Kamyshev will always live in our hearts."
