The UCBC Leadership Met with Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Zhang Xiun
On January 29, 2016, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine hosted a meeting of Co-Chairman of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council (UCBC) Mr. Robert Brovdi and Vice Chairman of the Ukrainian Part of the Business Council, permanent representative of the UCBC Ukrainian Part in Beijing Mr. Igor Litvin with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Mr. Zhang Xiun.
During the meeting, Robert Brovdi and Igor Litvin informed the Chinese Ambassador about the most important UCBC's activities and events in 2015, as well as shared the plans of the Business Council for the near future. A number of bilateral cooperation issues were also discussed and scheduled for consideration by the next 3rd Meeting of the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the PRC Cooperation Commission to be held in Kyiv in Q2 this year.
Ambassador Zhang Xiun welcomed the initiatives of the UCBC Ukrainian Part on boosting bilateral trade and economic relations and cooperation of Ukraine and China business circles, visa regime facilitation, establishment of mass tourism, in particular, group tourism exchange, further development of twinning relations, as well as relations of economic partnership between the regions of the two countries, and top-level celebration of the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Ukraine and China originated.
Following the exchange of views and positions, they agreed to maintain close contacts and exchange of information in the preparation and conduct of joint Ukrainian-Chinese events, to coordinate their actions and efforts towards strengthening friendship and strategic partnership between Ukraine and the PRC.
At the end of the meeting Robert Brovdi and Igor Litvin on behalf of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council congratulated Ambassador Zhang Xiun and the friendly Chinese people in his person with the upcoming Spring Festival (Chinese New Year on the lunar calendar) which is celebrated in China on February 7-13 this year.
