On July 30th, the Trade and Economic Office of the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine hosted a meeting between Robert Brovdi, Co-Chairman of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council (UCBC), and Igor Litvin, Deputy Chairman of the UCBC Ukrainian Part, and Liu Jun, Trade and Economic Adviser of the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine.
In the course of the meeting, Robert Brovdi informed the Trade and Economic Adviser of the PRC Embassy in Ukraine about the renewal of the UCBC membership and management based on the outcomes of the general meeting held on July 27, 2015 and presented the nearest planned reconstruction and revitalization steps of the Business Council. In his turn, Mr. Liu Jun emphasized the importance of the initiatives aimed at the revival of business, trade and economic relations between Ukraine and China and expressed support for the initiatives to enhance the UCBC activities and hope that the joint efforts in the Business Council will bring positive results for both countries. Liu Jun also made several proposals to restore contacts between the UCBC Ukrainian Section and the relevant structures and associations of the two countries, in particular the Association of Importers and Exporters.
During the meeting they discussed the indicative program of the working visit of the delegation of the Ukrainian Section of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council to Beijing planned for the third decade of August 2015, as well as the necessary arrangements of assistance from the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine. It was decided to further maintain constant contacts and interaction with the trade and economic mission of the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine relating to the bilateral business cooperation between the countries.
