On the temporary introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of the People's Republic of China entering Ukraine for tourism purposes

Dear members of the Ukrainian part of the Joint Business Council, colleagues, friends!

Finally, we have a ray of great hope that Ukraine will be able to become a bright and very promising tourist destination for the citizens of the People's Republic of China: today the President of Ukraine signed Decree No. 295/2020 "On the temporary introduction of visa-free regime for citizens of the People's Republic of China who enter Ukraine for tourism purposes!"

Our friends and colleagues from the Chinese part of the Business Council, in the International Department of the CPC Central Committee ID and in the Center for Economic Cooperation at the CPC Central Committee ID have already sent their congratulations on this (real) breakthrough in bilateral relations as the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council has so many times offered to do so!

We thank the President of Ukraine for such an important decision because it opens wonderful horizons for establishing full-scale cooperation between business circles of both countries in the field of sight-seeing tourism, as well as business, educational tourism, medical tourism, etc within the frame of both-interstate and inter-regional links.

Finally, we hope that such a specific type of tourism as "red tourism" will work later, which is very interesting for the Chinese Side in terms of ideological education of Chinese youth, as well as for Ukraine's Side - in the probable growth of Chinese investment in the local tourism infrastructure. It is believed that despite the current pandemic situation, this temporary action will prove its benefits and turn into a permanent visa-free regime for tourists from China! ”.
