On December 12, the management of Ukrainian part of UCBC Sergii Kuzyara, Ihor Lytvyn, and the Member of Coordination Council Serhii Pakhalchuk met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Mr. Du Wei.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council in 2018 and UCBC’s plans for 2019.

“As a new chairman of Ukrainian part of UCBC, I will make every effort to establish and maintain an effective dialog between business circles of both countries”, Sergii Kuzyara said to the Ambassador. - During my trip to China in November 2018 we, with my colleague, the head of the Chinese part of the UCBC, Mr. Jeng Hongbin, had the opportunity to discuss and agree on work plans. In particular, the prospects of cooperation in the areas of energy, tourism, agriculture, engineering and education.”

To confirm his words, Sergii Kuzyara told the Ambassador about specific projects, in which the members of the Ukrainian part of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council are now interested. It was about communication with specific Chinese companies in the markets of classical and alternative energy, supply of meat products from Ukraine to China, as well as large-scale prospects for the development of the tourism industry.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine, Mr. Du Wei, assured Sergii Kuzyara that the embassy will make the necessary efforts to establish contacts between Ukrainian and Chinese businesses and is ready to respond to specific requests from Ukrainian businessmen with a proven reputation.

For his part, Sergii Kuzyara emphasized that Chinese entrepreneurs and officials can count on informational, advisory, expert and any other support from the Ukrainian part of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council in Ukraine.

“The strategic partnership of our countries has huge potential, but it is far from being fully realized for various reasons. We plan to intensify the work and will appreciate the effective communication with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine”, - Segii Kuzyara noted.
