AUCC and UCBC Took Part in the Charitable Event of the Embassy of Ukraine in the PRC
On January 25, 2016, the Embassy of Ukraine in Beijing hosted a charity event called "Love Knows no Borders, Warm Hearts Beating in Unison". The event was attended by more than 15 Chinese companies that handed over warm clothes, toys and educational equipment worth about USD 10 thousand for family-type boarding homes from the regions affected by the conflict in the east of Ukraine.
Addressing the audience, Oleg Dyomin, Ambassador of Ukraine in the People's Republic of China, thanked the Chinese philanthropists for such a good and heartfelt gesture and stressed the importance of communication between our countries in various areas.
"The friendship between our peoples has a long history. Today, this friendship continues. Cooperation between Ukraine and China is gaining momentum. Now we see that this cooperation acquires yet another expression: charity. We are very grateful to the initiative of Chinese friends who started this event to help children in Ukraine and China. I am sure that businessmen from Ukraine working in China will join this charity work, or expect cooperation with you in Ukraine," said the Ukrainian ambassador.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian Part of the Ukrainian-Chinese Business Council (UCBC), the Association of Ukrainian-Chinese Cooperation (AUCC), as well as a number of Ukrainian companies operating in China. In particular, Vitaliy Oliynyk, Chairman of the AUCC Executive Committee and Member of the UCBC Coordination Committee, Serhiy Kuzmichev, Head of the Beijing Office of Granum-Invest LLC (UCBC incorporated company), Dmytro Tanasyichuk, Director of the Ukrainian House in Beijing, Heads of the Katyusha Gallery, Rays of Kindness International Charitable Foundation and UDP Company spoke on the Ukrainian part.
It is expected that a similar charity event will be also organized in the near future from the Ukrainian enterprises, in particular to help orphaned children of the Chinese boarding school in Hebei province.
The charity event held at the Ukrainian Embassy was widely covered in the leading Chinese media, in particular, on the Central Television of China CCTV, the International Radio of China, the World and China journal, VITWO, etc.
